That's pretty funny.

But you essentially just moved up the 2026 pick 1 year. I would argue the edge rusher class in 2026 is a lot weaker than last year and Pearce is probably better than everyone except maybe Bain. Falcons probably wouldn't have had a chance to get Bain anyways unless yall finish bottom 5. Falcons probably find a way to 7-8 wins.

I think I read where Pearce was top 5 in the NFL in pressures coming into last week. So he's likely gonna be a really good one for you guys.

I'm not saying it was a terrible trade, I just think it's funny considering how last year the whole thing was look at how good our offense is, if we get our defense going we'll be solid. Now it's like "well everyone except Bijan sucks on offense"

I think the Falcons wil lturn it around, because worse case scenario they have the best backup QB in the NFL who can come in and win games.

If the Falcons can't win this weekend, they might want to fold up shop.

Daniels and McLaurin both OUT this weekend

Dan QUinn and Marcus Mariota revenge game. We're going to lose in a really ugly way. Not blown out by the Panthers ugly but like defensive TD to lose the game ugly.

Bijan has a legit shout for MVP at this point, Today he had 181 yards of offense today, moving him up to 584 for the season. And everyone knows that the ball is going to him they just can't really stop him.

Still really like Penix. More downs than up this year but clearly a talented kid with a great head on his shoulders.
I agree with everything you said. Penix still has a lot of room to grow, but the ball shoots out of his hand which is something you love to see. And the 3rd down conversions on the clinching drive were all great.

John Lynch is a terrible GM. He got incredibly lucky with Brock Purdy, and has a great coach, but he's been kind of terrible for years.

Trey Lance trade is a fireable offense, he traded 3 firsts and a 3rd for a QB who made 6 starts.

He lucked out the Panthers are one of the most moronic franchises in the NFL and sold McCaffery for much less than they should have.

Look at every draft pick since 2021. It's purdy and a ton of meh. He does the thing where he accumulates tons of picks, but the only way that works is if you have a lot of roster turnover because of expensive players and you get guys hwo hit. The niners haven't had that many hits.

Lots of hits too.

It’s murky. The injuries have just killed the org.

The McCaffrey trade was pretty good value for a RB. Especially for a RB that had missed 22 games (and parts of other games) in the previous 2 seasons. The problem was that the Panthers wasted those picks.

And honestly, the Niners only got 1.5 years really good years out of CM. He was hurt and mediocre last year. And he's been pretty mediocre this year overall, although he is stacking up receiving yards in an offense without a No. 1 WR.

We've got a #1 in Pearsall or a guy thats very close.

If you look through the drafts there were some good hits but specifically in 24/25 drafts there appears to be some legit talent. Prior to was dicey.

Most of his hits came before 2021. Really if Brock Purdy didn't become the best draft value pick since Tom Brady, he'd be fired. Consider just the base value trade, not all the other picks, they traded Micah Parsons for Trey Lance.

Like he does well on first rounders, but after that it is suspect. His last great draft was 2019. It's the last draft he got multiple 4+ year starters from. Really if you have the standard of multiple multi-year starters, he only has like 2 great drafts in his 8 years of tenure.

21 he drafted DMO (one of top 10 CB's in league) and Hufanga who is a damn good safety
22 he obviously drafted Purdy and also Kalia Davis who is breaking out a bit this year
23 they didn't have a first or second but still got Winters who looks to be a stud
24 they have several players performing at high levels and early returns on 25 have been promising

Bottom line is the niners are the most injured team the last 5 years in aggregate. Its the only reason they haven't won a SB. Even in their last SB fucking Greenlaw destroys his knee jumping up and down on the sidelines at half. We were dominating that game defensively but of course a freak injury like that ruined our chances.

Even this year, Bosa may have been playing his best football and of course he is a MASSIVE injury risk but now he is out.

Like fuck......

21. No effin way. THe only probowl player from that draft left via free agency. Maybe Lenoir is legit, but even the most optimistic I've seen on him have him grading out in the back half of CB1s, You calling him top 10 would be like me calling AJ Terrell top 10. Not a bad pick, but getting 1 guy from that draft still contributing to your team is rough. Trust me I'm a falcons fan, 2021 was a shitty draft for us too. Best player we took left for the Bears via FA and I'm OK with that.
22. Can't give a guy who's just starting in 2025 a positive grade, even if he's good, he leaves via FA and you get 1 year from him.

I'll stop there, maybe you're right in 2023, but even then, it's a rough return to have 1 good player.

Compare the eagles from that timeframe who got Davonta Smith, Landon Dickerson, Jordan Davis, Cam Jurgens, Jalen Carter, Nolan Smith, Tyler Steen, and a stable of guys who could be as good as the niners guys you like.

You're not wrong injuries have killed y'all but a lot fo those are playing with fire, CMC, Bosa, etc. have injury questions, and when healthy they can be great players (though I think CMC's best days are past him) your OL has been a problem for a long time and the best guy you have had is Trent WIlliams who is really old and has had injury issues. But the real problem is bad use of draft picks.

Bijan had a run early in the game Sunday that really showed why he's special. It was a run play that wasn't well designed or executed and Washington met Bijan before he got back to the line. Bijan juked and dodged multiple defenders and turned what should have been a 3 yard loss into an 8 yard gain.

His ability to turn nothing into something is elite.
