If red states stopped receiving technological spillovers from blue states they would effectively be third world countries. No AI or all the advances generated by biotech.

In the event of a national divorce, the divergences in health and economic outcomes would get even bigger. Red states would not have a built in advantage competing for wealthy retirees from blue states.

Except all the technological marvels would love their home bases to states that actually protected their citizens.

At least we got world class scientists and entrepreneurs. The best thing I can say about rural America is nothing ever happens there except for meth. Im happy to leave y'all alone to stew over your insecurities.
