Economics Thread

It isn’t anything different than Biden spending package and inflationary practices.

At least we are trying to reset the global markets with it rather than taking it without dinner first.

Admittedly it’s a longer term play than Joe’s. But it’s still a continuation of the same for the consumer with a possible long term gain.

Sorry American cattle farmers, globalism is back. I can’t wait to hear thethe tell me all about how this is brilliant because domestic demand is greater than supply and so we need to import it to lower prices for consumers without a trace of irony.
I want to know why Trump doesn't just buy Argentina and make it the 51st state, Seems like the smart move.

To solve short term supply constraints on something essential like beef? Yeah I’m very much in support of it. What I don’t care about is the same thing happening to non essential goods like toasters.

Wasn’t one of the big tariff talking points getting Australia and other countries to buy our beef? And didn’t we place tariffs on beef?

A friend from Argentina talks with great fondness of the beef from his homeland. I, for one, welcome our new Argentinian beef imports.

Why is this even the question. I think we should absolutely have alternative solutions for things line food lined up to cover supply shortages. That’s what’s happening here. Responsible management of our countries economy.
