I'd be excited for Lehmann and Lombard, fine with Flaherty, but pretty pissed with Gibbons.I think just those three. Maybe we have to fight out SD for Lehman? Lombard's not a bad fallback choice though.

How can someone be that bad at their job and still have it for so many years
Lehmann has had the best of everything out in LA while Lombard had less in Detroit and did pretty well. It'll be interesting to see how Lehmann does outside of LA.Part of me would rather have Lombard.
It’s really just that Lombard is a former MLB player and top prospect, so we know he can relate to the clubhouse on that front. He’s also apparently bi-lingual, so he will have an easier time communicating with the Spanish-speaking players. All that while also being analytically savvy. I’m just a little afraid that Lehmann might be all analytics, but that’s really based on nothing other than his resume compared to Lombard’s.Lehmann has had the best of everything out in LA while Lombard had less in Detroit and did pretty well. I'll be fine with either one. At least we have 2 good options available and it doesn't look like it'll be Weiss. It’s really just that Lombard is a former MLB player and top prospect, so we know he can relate to the clubhouse on that front.
