2025-2026 offseason thread

I deleted my post by accident -
Need to call the Pirates and give them AJSS, Caminiti, Owen Murphy, one of Didier/Waldrep/JR, then Lara and Nacho + their PTBNL back+ that 26th pick …..for their pitcher (and his wife).
That might move it up to an “ Enscheff A”

The WW hire put a hard cap of A- on the offseason, and that’s only possible if AA gets someone like Ryan for a package like Nacho plus filler.

If we're not gonna spend much more in FA, then I think Peralta makes the most sense in a trade for a SP. We should be able to get him without giving up either Cam or Fuentes.

I also like that we're not tied to Kim long term. He looked solid after coming over, but he's still a player on the wrong side of 30 with a useful-but-precarious skillset and major shoulder surgery in his recent past. I'm glad we didn't have to go to an uncomfortable contract length just to assure ourselves something better than Dubon at short.

More shopping at Wal-Mart instead of Macy's. This organization is content with being good but not championship caliber Bichette was just sitting there, and typical Braves, they pass for a retread. I am so sick of it.
You gotta be joking. Bichette may be the worst fielding SS in baseball and is gonna get 200 million dollars and cost a pick. How is that just sitting there?

Bichette is likely a 4 win player who will require a large salary over a long commitment. Kim is a 2-3 win player who required less for a single year. There isn’t even an argument to be made here, a 30 year old who fit in well and likely produces what Kim will is a complete steal at 1/20.

You’re arguing with the mentally handicapped. Best to just ignore him.
