Harbaugh meeting with NYG ownership.
I'm fine with it. I like Harbaugh but he's at best my 4th favorite option. I'd rather have Kubiak, McDaniel or Stefanski. Though I don't think Stefanski is a great fit for Penix. After I like Saleh, Flores, and probably Kingsbury. I think Kingsbury may be the best coach to get results out of Penix but we need a receiver.

Tomlin out at Pittsburgh, resigned today.

So now we're close to 1/3 of the league looking for a new coach.

What's wild is the people rank the Steelers job as desirable. The only desirable part of that job is that they dont' fire coaches quick.y But they're an aging team who lacks basically all the things you need in the NFL. They don't have a QB, they don't have a play maker at WR, don't have a stud RB, Their OL is good, and they have a great defense still but that defense is aging, TJ Watt is over 30, Cam Heyward is 37

IMO the only truly attractive job is the Ravens, they get pick of the litter, no team has a franchise QB and good defense, and really stable quality front office.

Falcons are in a position where if a coach believes in Penix. same with the Giants and Dart.
Steelers do have Metcalf. He isn't an elite WR, but he's a number 1 caliber wr.

The problem with the Ravens is that the best coach on the market is already Harbaugh. And Tomlin isn't available since he stepped down instead of got fired. At best, they'll get the 2nd best HC available.

I think the Falcons end up with McDaniel. He's familiar with the franchise and with Matt Ryan, and he's already developed Tua, who was virtually the same QB as Penix is now when he took over Miami.

Baltimore needed a change. Harbaugh was stagnating. I don't know where they're going. I think if they can keep Monken, going after Saleh or Flores makes sense to revamp their defense.

Believe when you poach Hugh level management staff under contract that’s the rules. I don’t think falcons lose it
It's only for minority coaches/front office personnel. The 49ers got 4 comp picks for losing Demeco Ryans and Ran Carthon. You get 1 comp pick in each of the following 2 drafts if a minority candidate leaves your team to be a HC/GM of another team.

It's not poaching high level management. You gain picks as compensatory when a minority hire happens. It's a way to incentivize organizations to bring up minority contributors within the org either as coordinators or scouts or GMs.

AMount of Picks I believe varies.

There is also some debate that the GM may not get the normal amount because technically in the Falcons org, they aren't as high up as in others because Ryan is the in between between the GM and the Owner/President/etc. I don't think that will happen because the NFL really wants this system to continue.

It's a smart system that basically encourages the best coaches and GMs to coach up minority candidates.
