It's not that hard of a choice if someone thinks it could make a positive impact. How many people you see who bought ugly MAGA hats for any price between 10 bucks off amazon to 50+ from trump store?
 
I would urge caution in chalking up any algorithm issues to censorship, though. It wouldn’t shock me if it were true, but there are too many moving parts involved in what they’re doing to ascribe malice to any actions on TikTok for reach. If it doesn’t get resolved, then we can talk.

That’s the idea: you don’t protest criminals or dictatorships, you protest the government you expect better of.
 
I don't know Chris Olah. As a general observation, everyone has to make a choice about the thangs they speak out about and the thangs they don't. No one has the bandwidth to address everything. His choices of what to do with his bandwidth seem pretty solid to me.

Do you get mad at illegals let in my the previous regime that killed countless people? Or do we just care about the ones dying to stop illegals from being removed? Which is more righteous?

How about the raping of British women by Islamic grooming gangs. Does that count as something he should speak up on? Or only when illegals are removed from a country?

I think what he speaks out is closely tied to his ideology and not what’s “right” or “wrong”.
