basic immigration data

The findings of the Cato Institute study are consistent with the CBO's estimate that the recent surge in immigration works to REDUCE the federal deficit by almost $1 trillion over the next 10 years.

It is noteworthy that the responses you cite try to rebut data-driven analyses of the effects of immigration with claims about what is going on in other countries.

It is not counterintuitive to claim that immigrants claim less educational services because most of them come here as adults with their educations having been provided by the country of birth. In effect another country has paid for the human capital that will allow that person to be a productive taxpayer in this country.

I think it’s an important data point when determining over arching conclusions. No?

Ah yes but their children should be pushed to native despite the househlld being immigrant.

It is true that adding the children of immigrants who are subsequently born in this country would give a fuller accounting. That accounting would be overwhelmingly positive given all that is known about the upward mobility of children of immigrants. The return on the education we provide them is massive, much bigger than the return on the education provided to children of non-immigrants.

i'm discussing what happens here...so yeah hard pass on something not related

but i can understand why you are trying to change the subject
You don't think raping people randomly in the streets has an economic impact?

Interesting....

All we know based on what exactly?

More studies with terrible assumptions?

Why isn't it working in places like Sweden and Denmark? Whats different?

reminder: immigrants have a lower incarceration rate than native-born Americans
Yeah - It ends up the same way when we look at data from European nations that report on demographics.

Whtas different?
