If he’s broke, it’s self inflicted given what some of the money was spent on this offseason.

Like I think Suarez is a great addition, but spending $17m on a setup man only makes sense if you have a plan to address the rotation.

Which is odd because AA at the beginning of the offseason was insistent that starting rotation was a priority.

So basically he has 8-14 million for a SP if he wants to have 10-15 for the deadline. Just pay the price for Joe Ryan then and have him for 2 years.
