If he’s broke, it’s self inflicted given what some of the money was spent on this offseason.

Like I think Suarez is a great addition, but spending $17m on a setup man only makes sense if you have a plan to address the rotation.

Which is odd because AA at the beginning of the offseason was insistent that starting rotation was a priority.

Maybe this is sign that SS#1 is back, Lopez is healthy, and they really like Fuentes and Richie.

Maybe once again AA thought he had more money to spend going into this offseason and spent early and then was told he didn’t have as much as they first told him lol
 
Yeah that deal would be hard to pass up on Bassitt unless he's working on something bigger but this close to ST that's hard to believe. 1 year 18.5 million with no QO? Man that stings.
 
So basically he has 8-14 million for a SP if he wants to have 10-15 for the deadline. Just pay the price for Joe Ryan then and have him for 2 years.
 
Leaving a hole in the rotation on opening day to save money for the deadline is nonsense. The Braves are guaranteed to be contenders right now. They are not guaranteed to be contenders at the deadline.
