Again-Are people learning anything yet? Or does anyone still think adding SP wasn’t the most important need?
Who the are you talking to?
It’s beyond strange

I don't disagree. But he'll be relatively cheap.I’m not sure investing in a pitcher over 40 who has only started 26 games over the past 2 years is the best way to mitigate our injury risk
I could be wrong but I'd guess AA apologists. I think you can like AA if that's your thing, but the last 3 years have been cringe worthy for AA. We've come to be known as a winning organization and that's true, but this reliance on HOPE is terrible. Speaking for me, I'd rather be ahead of the pitching curve than behind it.Again-

We’re still several injuries away from even thinking about having Carrasco pitch MLB innings this year.We are going to have to rely on Cookie Carrasco. Sounds like a damn Sopranos episode. “Hey Tone, did ya hear about Cookie Carrasco?”
Don't worry - they're coming. We’re still several injuries away from even thinking about having Carrasco pitch MLB innings this year.

The meltdown when AA doesn't sign him for 1/15
Bryce Elder 2025 FIP: 4.55
Max Scherzer 2025 FIP: 4.99
But even the “apologists” have been clamoring for more SP depth all offseason? So he’s really just roaring into a void of imagined disagreement at this point.I could be wrong but I'd guess AA apologists. Sure. But which pitchers aren’t, at this point? The model is: collect two rotations’ worth of talented starters, hope some mix of them gets you to the playoffs by September, and pray you have four left pitching well heading into October.Giolito can help alot if he's healthy but he's as injury prone as what we've already got.
There were too many opportunities for this not to be a necessity. Probably more of a reason to get two more guys in here and just hope for the best.Giolito can help alot if he's healthy but he's as injury prone as what we've already got.
