I mean I would assume a progressive would be appalled by a culture that makes it illegal to be gay, their women must cover their entire bodies and hold no political power, and raping christian kids is OK.

I would assume that progressive would do everything in his power to stop that from becoming normalized here?

I’m not looking to create an Islamic society any more than I’m looking to create a Christian or Jewish one. As a non-believer, I do not want religion to be the basis of the society I live in.

Okay, past few years. Obviously these have been features of this political movement for quite some time, but it just feels like there’s been a noticeable escalation.

The escalation is that the last president you voted for let in 10+ million immigrants, many of them dangerous, against the will of the American people.

And now I get to read about a murder or rape on the daily from these people, and then I get to read about how a judge let them out of jail over and over and over again.

And there appears to be no moderating on this policy from the party you continue to vote for

Exactly how many Muslim immigrants do you think we have been letting in? We’re talking about 1% of the population, man. And that figure includes the many thousands of Muslims who have no interest in a theocracy.

My life has materially changed. San Antonio is loaded with illegal immigrants. Ive been here 5 years and have been pricing put private schools since I got here for my kids.

The price to my preferred choice has nearly tripled since 2022. When I ask why, they inform me that parents cant take the public schools anymore due to class sizes doubling and having the need to do lessons in Spanish to accommodate the immigrants, so private school is now in major demand

I can understand this in the sense of escalation of frustrations against the government. Not so much in the dehumanizing rhetoric toward other people.
