yes, there is money to play with at least at the break.

I think internal options will be used until then.

I would imagine the money is available as soon as the suspension is announced. That said, if he appeals, then the org might be hesitant to use it until that is settled. If he were to somehow win an appeal, then the org would be over the third tier.

I wouldn't mind bringing anyone of those guys in on a minor league deal with a few million escalator if they make the big club.. but I wouldn't pay Gio anything close to what he is apparently asking.

Interesting name in the minors I wouldn't mind seeing is Mcabe. switch hitter.. not sure why he isn't in camp tbh.

With this being the 2nd time in 2 years I'll bet the team tries to void it. Bc there's no way he passes a test in 2027 and he'll be a big focus of their attention now.
