53 Dems do not believe Iran is the largest source of state sponsored terrorism in the world

When under Joe Biden it was nearly unanimous

Anti Trump is strong, principals not so much

Let me take this time for a long time coming "I told you so". Not only was I right that Trump was never anti-war and that when he does start them people like thethe would support it. Trumps gone from only President to not start a new war to the one who started the most wars.

Russia is sharing with Iran information about the locations of U.S. military forces in the Middle East that Tehran could be using to help guide its missile attacks in the region, according to U.S. officials and a former Russian intelligence officer, in the strongest indication yet of cooperation between the two nations during the Iran conflict.

The classified U.S. intelligence finding doesn’t show that Russia is sharing locations with Iran explicitly for targeting purposes, but that would be a reasonable conclusion for why Russia is doing it, one of the U.S. officials said. The types of information being shared include the coordinates of U.S. military ships and aircraft, they said.

One thing I’ve wondered since the start of this war is how MAGA squares the support of this Iran campaign as part of a larger impact on CCP Oil with the generally pro-Russia stance they’ve taken on.

One of the great skills of MAGA is squaring circles.

Has MAGA become pro Russia? I remember a desire to pull back from shipping missiles and cash to Ukraine. Of course there is lots of concern about missile inventory with the current operation in Iran, so I guess that was a reasonable take.

Thethe has become very pro war. This was a massive shift from the campaign, where he called me a milatary industrial complex cuck bc i did not support Russias agression against Ukraine

Maga in general seems more split and i think hes losing support with the wars and the Epstein behaviors

There’s a pretty tangible difference at this point between what I’m calling MAGA in this context and certain voters such as yourself. You have a lot of ideological common ground with someone like thethe, but you aren’t a cultist. In the case of Ukraine and Russia, I have largely agreed that we reached a point where we were simply being irresponsible in our continued financial support of Ukraine.

But for the people I'm calling MAGA here, this wasn’t enough because for them, nothing Trump does can be morally or effectively neutral, it must be great. So the narrative has shifted within that circle to Ukraine being the bad guy in the conflict and Russia being increasingly viewed as a favorable ally.

I am particularly struggling to comprehend the insistence from that group that supporting Ukraine in a proxy war against Russia is obviously bad, while starting an actual war with Iran is obviously good from the standpoint of Chinese oil supply and global influence. Every time Trump does some form of foreign intervention, be it militarily or through trade policy, it’s seen as some obvious chess move against an encroaching China. But because of how Trump has approached Ukraine/Russia, that is somehow a special circumstance where we throw that chess board out.

I get being anti war

But if you can’t get behind freeing Iranian women from being reduced to property and genocide of your own people

Like what can you get behind ? I guess most don’t hold women as highly as others

This general attitude sort of spells out why I’m not currently convinced of anything positive happening right now. Just as with Venezuela, supporters are eager to highlight the plight of the people being subjected to oppression as some problem we aim to solve, but there’s no real indication the Trump Administration gives two shits what happens to these people, and we seem content to let these nations continue to do whatever the fuck they want to their citizens as long as we gain control over their oil industry.
