Probably needs another pitch. Then again, if his FB is as elite as per-surgery Strider like it appears, then maybe he can be a starter for a few years before the velocity starts declining.I had pretty much written off Diddy because I heard he was having shoulder problems. I see him more as an elite reliever, atleast in the short term.
Saw on X, he was only throwing 2 of his 4 pitches. Maybe the other 2 suck, and he's becoming a reliever. No ideaProbably needs another pitch. Ah. Thanks.Saw on X, he was only throwing 2 of his 4 pitches. Maybe the other 2 suck, and he's becoming a reliever. No idea
Yeah, he went fastball and slider today, but his splitter specifically is highly regardedAh. Thanks.
Karinchak has been very impressive this spring too -
4 games, 0.00 ERA 3.2 IP 8K 0.82 whip
But our farmsystem is crap
AA and his team have done a remarkable job. With slightly better injury luck the Braves at worst have an additional NLCS appearance during this time. But our farmsystem is crap
He was sitting 96 in the majors and threw 97+ plenty last year. 98 is a bump but it's not absurd for him. The iVB improvements are huge, for sure. Kid may be a dawgA 4 seamer at 98 with 17” of rise is plus-plus. If thats what he can do in bursts he’s at least a high leverage BP arm.
Of course every time you see someone with a big jump in velocity the elbow injury is usually coming within the year.
