It seems to me if life is precious all policies that affect the quantity and quality of life should matter to us. Not just the ones we find congenial to our ideology.

Youre not. There is a policy that i can point directly to, that the outcome is 100,000 canadian citizens were intentionally killed by the state funded health care system
