2026 ST Thread

It reminds me of what Rube said in Major League 2: “You’re standing on the tracks and the train is coming through, butthead!” AA has anchored himself to the tracks for two straight offseasons.

I just dont understand why they couldnt add someone like Quintana last year or Littel this year. They werent expensive and were available late in the offseason.

Didier with the suddenly timely start at 1:05

Just sign Giolito to something like 2/35 with an opt out (or mutual option if it the Braves still refuse to give out opt-outs), but pay him 22 million in year 1. Softens the tax blow so that you still have money to spend in July and it gives him incentive to opt out after the season with only 13 million guaranteed for 2027.

If the SP falls completely apart this season it very well may then AA's job should 100% be in question bc it was obvious last year and this year and nothing has been addressed. That's completely unacceptable. These young guys coming better save his ass.

neither DF or Ritchie can sustain a full MLB starters workload. Ritchie is close with 140 innings last year... DF hasn't throw more than 75 innings in a year.. so they will destroy his arm if they rely on him as a starter full time.

As predicted.. Perez/Elder/J. Suarez will all get plenty of meaningful starts..

on top of that.. the ripple effect is going to crush the pen.. Lopez can't get through 5 innings.. Elder/Perez/Suarez shouldn't get through 5 innings.. So Sale is going to be pushed to go deeper and he will go down as well..

I get that... but because of the flat out unwillingness for AA to address the rotation, we may not have many other choices which is ludicrous
