Braves TV Network Discussion

Solid start to the BravesVision broadcasts. Thought they did a good job tonight, considering they had basically two months to put this thing together.

When you look at the distribution, they got two of the largest cable companies with Xfinity and Spectrum along with several smaller companies. Also UVerse. They got the large satellite/streaming service in DirecTV. Don't think they got Dish, but I think they're running into problems at the moment. Also got Fubo. I'm sure I'm missing some. I know they didn't get YouTube TV, but that's far from a surprise. YTTV didn't have the FanDuel channels or MLB Network, so I don't know why anyone would think they'd pick up BravesVision.

I'd be curious about how many subscribers there were of the streaming service. I saw so many comments about saying they weren't paying $100, not realizing that's actually not a bad deal. Or saying just put it on TBS like the old days, without thinking the Braves can't do that anymore. Or calling the Braves greedy, when in reality, the team had to do this because the FanDuel Sports Network owners couldn't make payments to the teams anymore. People just like griping. The old broadcasting ways are done. It's a new era and way of broadcasting, whether you like it or not.

For the most part, I'm happy with what I saw tonight.

I LOVED it ! The video quality, the drones and choppers, the announcing and guest spots, even Wiley was funny - I was oddly really proud of the Braves for creating such a fantastic product and pulling it off in such a short time.
For .70 a game- it’s a damn steal.

And think as time goes on how much better it can be. They did a really good job in such a short time.

This week in baseball with Mel Allen, the Andy Griffith Show, Gomer Pyle, Gilligan’s Island and the Dick Van Dyke show would be a good start…..
:)
Don’t forget the Beverly Hillbillies and Leave it to Beaver which always came on after school and before the 7pm games

We need Braves related content. Feature shows, classic games in their entirety. We are not building classic TBS, we are building a southern YES Network. Maybe since MLB helped with this they might allow classic TWIB or The Baseball Bunch episodes.
