Could also just be Trump announcing the ceasefire first, so when they attack Israel he will just use that as an excuse to rain fire.

"They broke their end of the deal, I had no choice but to drop the hammer!"

No he just announced it and is hoping they open the strait. The whole Pakistan plan seemed to come from the White House so it doesnt look like it was their idea to begin with. Its very on brand for him. Remember Zelensky lying to protect Trump about being leveraged to announce investigations of the Bidens. Yet he hates Zelensky. He wanted it to look like Trump had no involvement so people would think it was legitimate. There was the attempt to host the G8 summit at one of his run down golf courses that he tried to convince people was chosen independentky. Etc.

The unfortunate thing is that there are a whole lot of republicans that are good with war and never want to acknowledge that the US starts most of these conflicts.

Orban just called his opponent to concede. That's the kind of minimal bar that our president couldn't clear. One of many minimal bars he has not cleared.

Speaking to supporters Sunday evening in Budapest, Mr. Orban said the “election results, although not complete, are understandable and clear. They are painful for us but unequivocal.”

This is the sort of minimal thang that we once took for granted in our leaders. And will again once we have put the insanity of the Trump Era behind us.

With 66 percent of votes counted, the opposition Tisza party was on course to win 137 seats — more than a two-thirds majority — with Mr. Orban’s party, Fidesz, expected to win just 55. The opposition leader is a former Orban loyalist, Peter Magyar, who broke away in 2024, who would likely become the new prime minister.

Who will be the American Peter Magyar? Surely we are capable as a country of finding such a person. It doesn't have to be acceptance of the buffoon.
