Florida is still getting its share of boomers, some of whom made a lot of dough elsewhere. Meanwhile, younger more productive and ambitious people are dreaming of Silicon Valley and da Big Apple.

Yup it's a tragedy this woman died, there was no squatters rights case happening here though. These criminals killed her.

Even then, unless they were lawfully renting that apartment, they werne't going to be protected by NY Squatters Rights.

Squatters rights are mostly dumb, I'm sure there's some examples that could be good. But I think there's a better method.

Internships are a great way to introduce young people to the world of work. They learn good habits. They get valuable feedback. And many internships are a pathway to a regular job. For the business it is the equivalent of seeing how a kid does in the minors before promoting them to the majors. The business school I teach at requires every undergraduate student to have an internship or equivalent before graduating. We recognize that an important component of learning comes outside the classroom.

Theres no article in the tweet. There are no details. Is this the city handing out internships to.high schoolers? What will they be doing

I'm not going to defend squatters rights. As far as the why, mainly because of shitty landlords. But you didn't answer the actual concern which was there wouldn't be squatters rights.

They are probably partnering with local businesses, non-profits, etc. That's where most internships come from.
