Braves TV Network Discussion

It's true.

It's also because they aren't having to pay syndication rights or rights to other sports to fill in time on the channel. Only the Braves are on the channel.
I had thought when it was announced that the Braves would be pursuing their own network, other teams like the Hawks, Predators, and Grizzlies could likely join in. Was reported as such. Now I'm not sure. Those teams will need TV homes with the FanDuel channels now done. I now tend to believe the Braves may want to keep this for their own. Also will be interesting if/how the Braves may build other programming. Brandon Gaudin in an interview with Awful Announcing seemed to indicate that may be coming.

And because NBA and NHL play in to April, you would have to share network space with Braves.

There was a conference call today discussing first quarter financial stuff for Braves Holdings. Bravesvision was definitely discussed topic. I watched the Braves Today podcast on YouTube which is hosted by Lindsay Crosby. The Braves front office is very happy with the number of subscribers. Derek Schiller believes BravesVision will meet or exceed economics.

Another note is content on the channel. The focus right now is delivering the best possible game broadcasts. But, there is work going on to develop additional programming content aside from the pre and post game shows.
