That said, given Dodd is coming back (I'm a huge fan) and either Lopez, Holmes or Fuentes likely stick in the BP, I think SP and LF are priorities at the Deadline.
yes, my apologies. He is pitching good enough to be in the playoff pictureI assume you're slotting those two behind staff Ace Elder?
I keep expecting Yaz to show signs of life. I still have some hope, but it’s beginning to wane a little.I still have faith yaz and dubon are gonna be more than capable in LF
I disagree. The pen is solid now, but he have basically zero depth. Karinchak and Dodd are the only viable reliever options at AAA at the moment. Bummer will likely get the boot as soon as Dodd is ready. It's just not a priority compared to a LFer or #2 starter
Heck yeah! Excited to see if there is anything here. He's been killing it in AAA and the on base skills are impressive.
He’s gonna get going. Remember, it took Ozuna a long time to break out of his funk a coupla’ years ago. Yaz is too good to just be permanently dead.I keep expecting Yaz to show signs of life. I still have some hope, but it’s beginning to wane a little.
He is already throwing.Where is this reported at? I would be surprised if he's back at all this year.
Ozuna wasn't 35.He’s gonna get going. Remember, it took Ozuna a long time to break out of his funk a coupla’ years ago. Yaz is too good to just be permanently dead.
….at least I sure hope so…
I wonder if this means that Acuña is going to be longer than anticipated and they want to get someone a little better than Arozcar on the roster.
Bummer isn’t getting the boot for Dodd. Maybe if we were putting together a postseason roster but we’re not cutting bullpen depth needlessly while we have the best record in baseballI disagree. We don't need a Hader type of addition at the deadline, but another solid reliever or 2 would go a long ways.
We have cut 2 pitchers already because they were garbage and Bummer has been just as bad as them. And no one is claiming Bummer. He might elect FA if he can find someone willing to put him on their 40 man. But I think it's more likely that he would accept the assignment to Gwinnett.Bummer isn’t getting the boot for Dodd. Bowman said it's likely that Harris is feeling much better and another OF isn't necessary.I wonder if this means that Acuña is going to be longer than anticipated and they want to get someone a little better than Arozcar on the roster.

You’re missing the proper context. Bummer has over 5 years or service and is making 6.5 million dollars. He’d have no reason to accept the assignment. We’d be on the hook for the money no matter what. We DFA’d some long relievers who weren’t available that were making league minimum and a RHP in Payamps that would’ve have to have given up his salary if he elected FA. Now that Suarez is gone we only have 3 LHRP. We’re not cutting one for no reason. We have cut 2 pitchers already because they were garbage and Bummer has been just as bad as them.
