Even the best talent evaluators might hit on 1 out of every 10 prospects. While we don't know how these current prospects will eventually work out, it's just a fact that the draft classes under AA have simply been sensational, aside from his first class in 2018.
2019: 2 major hits in Langeliers and MHII.
2020: Strider and Elder.
2021: Schwelly and AJSS (and Dodd).
2022: Murphy, Ritchie, and Baldwin. Nacho was a top 100 prospect at one point in time and might be useful major leaguer. At least a couple other prospects are still decent prospects right now.
2023: Waldrep, and soon to be top 100 prospect Isaiah Drake. Braun and Baumann are promising arms that could still develop, though their stock is lower this year.
2024: Cam and Hartman are the stars so far. But Sinnard, Bagwell, and Hernandez are all promising young arms. Montgomery, Carey, and Sears are also interesting prospects. And our 2nd round pick Carter Holton is due back from TJS soon. He'll be exciting to follow.
2025: Tate looks amazing. Ditto for Dixon Williams. Essenburg was impressive before the injury. And Briggs McKenzie adds another high upside arm to the system.
I can't recall a time in which our drafts were this successful. Maybe from 83-90? We went on a pretty good run there with Gant, Glavine, Justice, Blauser, Stanton, Mercker, Klesko, Chipper, etc.
