The real best part is they used that argument in defense of hte Semien for Nimmo trade. Not only is Semien worse offensively than last year he is also a negative defender this season. His entire skillset is just gone. Meanwhile Nimmo has a 121 WRC+ in Texas and already worth 1 WAR.

Buster Olney's trade deadline preview piece mentioned Yordan Alvarez as someone the Astros could trade if they decide to sell. Man, I know the fit is tough, and I know we don't necessarily want to lock ourselves into another full-time DH, but that dude can absolutely bomb. I'd be awfully tempted by that.
