Well to some people in this country "melting pot" is an offensive term and everyone should assimilate to doing things the 'Murica Way or "go back to where you came from". What ever that means.
Do you think other countries are more or less accomodating of minorities ?
Some are more, and that presents problems.
Some are less, and that presents problems.
I definitely prefer the problems associated with the former to those associated with the latter; but, honestly, the US is growing slowly better at dealing with displaced and migrant populations, even if we may talk about "the problem" of immigration more (in policy terms) as part of the national discourse.
