NBA Thread

There were plenty of phantom calls that went Miami's way. How about the third foul on Manu where he slapped nothing but ball and Wade acted like he got smacked in the face? Or when Duncan goes up and James hacked the day lights out of him?

Kinda ironic that Manu was called for a foul on that play when he's one of the biggest floppers in the NBA.

Regardless if the Spurs hit their free throws down the stretch it's a wrap. That's why they lost the game and ultimately the series.

Anyway this series is over now. Spurs aren't winning in Miami. Fact is they had game two and it slipped away again. Those missed free throws ruined another title for San Antonio.

Sadly, this.

LeBron had a great game, but if SA makes those FT's, they win or it at worst goes to OT.

I dont see them being able to win in Miami either.

Also, these role players excel because Miamis big three are incredibly selfless. They are so easy to play with. Thats the difference between Miamis big 3 and OKC's big 3. OKC's is more talented IMO but they just don't know how to play the game the right way yet. Westbrook is obviously the easy target in that but its all three. Ibaka has no clue how to pass the ball and KD isn't tough enough yet. They need to learn how to trust like Miamis big 3 trust the rest of the team.

Miami has a much better supporting cast after their Big 3 than OKC, by far which helps a ton.

Knicks hire DFish as Head Coach.

Cavs offer Cal a HUGE deal, 6 years, 63 to 6 years, 70 million being reported, not sure he accepts.

100%.....Fisher is more well respected than Kerr, Fisher has been in LA, so NY Media shouldn't be a problem.

More respected, yes, Kerr is a very smart basketball mind, he's gonna be good with GS.

I agree the NY media shouldnt bother Fisher though.

Do not understand the Fisher hype at all.

If you want a Phil disciple then why not go with Shaw or Rambis? Two first year head coaches in NY with no coaching or assistant coaching experience. Fisher wasn't even half the player Kidd was and at least Kidd saw the game on a different level being one of the best PGs ever.

I already went through all of Kerrs moves in PHX, I would hold off on the "very smart" comment....also he says a dumb **** about strategy on TNT that were red flags.

Shaw is under contract with Denver.....Rambis is going to be one of the asst. coaches.

Also, your stature as a player means little when it comes to coaching....how many all-time great players were great coaches? Too early to tell on Kidd, Bird is the only one that comes to mind and I wouldn't say he was great, also didn't do it long enough. Most great coaches are average players but extremely smart.

Im not sure how you love the hire bc we never know how good Fisher will be. People thought Kidd would be good and he's a train wreck.

I've always thought Shaw would make a good coach.

All things considered, i thought Kidd did a solid job given the injuries and whatnot.

Didn't say I love the hire, I said......"Really happy they got Fisher over Kerr"

Also Kidd did a really good job.

He has no clue what he's doing. The sets he runs are pathetic. Lucky for him they had a bunch of veterans that could overcome it.
