GDT #62, 6/9/14: BRAVES (Winless Floyd) vs. ROCKIES (debut of BERGMAN); 8:40 EDT

Let me ask the same question I asked at the same point in last night's game. Should Fredi leave our starting pitcher in for the 7th inning or should he pinch hit for him?

No. Harang was very lucky through six innings yesterday. Floyd has been solid all game long.

Floyd has had seasons like that as well. Also I hate Lincecum, but come on man you are really reaching right now.

Not at all. If Lincecum can get $35M for two years after the seasons he had in 2012 and 2013, Floyd will easily get more than $10M/year. Resistance is futile. You have been assimilated.

Agreed. Floyd looks much more effective than Harang did last night. Lower pitch count. He is leading off the inning rather than coming up with a runner on second with two outs.

If BJ cannot hit an avg fastball then he shouldn't hit above 7th. He just looks like he can't catch up to anyone's fastball.

2-0 Nationals. Come on Giants. You're 42-21 yet you decide to struggle against the freaking Nationals. Who've faced and beat the Phillies and Padres, so they suck. lol

It's obvious what it is keeping TLS out of the top spots. Fredi doesn't want three lefties back to back like that. He's going to have to swap Freddie and Upton.

Fredi is and has always been super stingy when it comes to actually moving the lineup up and down, I don't get it.

When Fredi finally move Jason to leadoff last season, someone asked him why and he said "I succumbed." I like Fredi's sense of humor. But he takes an awfully long time to "succumb" and do the right thing.
