Exactly! Had we drafted Gilmartin in the 5th I wouldn't have had any issues with the pick. I actually like Diaz and his stuff is deceptively better than most folk think. I saw him against Tech and he was dominant. I actually didn't think he would sign though since he was a JR and could possibly improve his stock.

Exactly! Should have never wasted a high pick, let along a 1st round pick on Gilmartin.
 
Gilmartin has actually been solid this year. He will be in the majors for a few years.
 
Even though we did not take many of them, I think this will be our best draft of HS talent since the Heyward/Freeman draft.
 
Heard a lot about Braxton Davidson, and my favorite quote is, "I'm not a power hitter, I'm a hitter with power."
 
Nice to see that our 40th round pick--Randy Santiesteban--is signed, sealed, and delivered.

He actually put up some nice stats at Peru State (NE). I know it's an NAIA school, but it's still a nice looking line. Curious to see how he does.

I guess roto took some liberty in reporting that he was really signed, but that's the tweet they worked from
