Peraza is a top prospect.

Thank you!

I'm wondering why they didn't promote Wren as well. He and Peraza formed a nice 1-2 punch and Wren has been smoking hot lately. Wren is older so I figured they would be more aggressive in pushing him. Guy just gets on base and when on he can cause a lot of havok.

So should Peraza be a top 20 prospect nationally when the season is over under teh assumption he continues his level of performance this year? Not sure why anyone would want to trade him. He is a better prospect than Elvis ever was IMO.

Nice night for Hursh. 14 ground ball outs, 0 fly outs. Not striking out many guys (not walking many either), but he's making hitters pound it into the ground.

The thing with Andrus is that he was 16 when he hit the states and it was all about projection. As young for classification as Peraza is, Andrus was even younger. That said, Andrus never hit the way Peraza has and Andrus may never develop into anywhere near the offensive player scouts thought he would coming up through the minors. The Rangers may well regret the fact they've signed Andrus through 2022 at $15 M/year (which kicks in next season).

BA will be coming out with their Top 50 Mid-Season list soon. I think he'll be in the Top 50 but not Top 20.

I was wondering that myself. Didn't want to push two at once? Roster issue?
