Then, pretty unselfish move and good for him and the team.

I hate the move because it smells of "I just need better players around me," aka "It wasn't MY fault we lost to the Spurs." Well sometimes you just get beat by a better team. If you're smart you use the lose as motivation to get better...as a team.

I screws the fans of Miami if he leaves because how many new fans do they have since Lebron came? If Lebron, Wade and Bosh leave, those fans are left chewing on crap, just like his "beloved" fans in Cleveland.

Why not just be a man, take your loss and vow to work hard in the off-season?

I'm sure he will bust his ass this off-season.
He isn't going to win with that team. It wasn't his fault they didn't win. He needs to win championships. He will be criticized either way. If he stays, he will be criticized for not winning (because the team isn't good enough) and if he leaves he'll be criticized for that. So be it.

What??? He's done nothing but win with that team since he joined, been to the finals every year with Miami. You can't do better than that. They just got out-played by a better, smarter, hungrier team this year but there is no reason they can't make it deep in the playoffs again next year and after that it's up to the players on the court.

I don't blame Lebron if he wants to play somewhere else, live in another city for the experience, etc, but the idea that he needs to go somewhere besides Miami to win another championship is ridiculous. And the loss is his fault as much as any other player on the team. He's the best player on the team, the team leader, and they didn't just lose, they got beat down.

Why does Lebron have a special "need" to win championships? He's got 2 more than Karl Malone. Wilt only won 2.

I think his best shot at another one is staying in Miami, keeping the core team and coach that has already had so much success. Starting over somewhere completely new is a BIG gamble.

Brilliant post.

Lebron needs to figure out a way to make it work in Miami. Thats the bottom line. Duncan has been in SA for 17 seasons and won 5 titles. Lebron has been in Miami for 4 years and won 2 titles. Poor Lebron.

I don't see why people care where he plays. Like winning a title somewhere other than Miami means less. People knock Robert Horry for being a hired gun? Dennis Rodman? The list could go on and on.

Lebron is going to play where he wants to play and has every right to. He's not under contract demanding a trade.

On a non Lebron topic, wtf is Dallas thinking?

I agree, that much for maybe 1 year of Chandler?

I mean, none of them are insanely great assets but still.

They could wait next offseason to get Chandler for FREEEEEEEEEE.

Is that wrong?

Thats how it is.

He's better than MJ when they win, it's the teams fault when they lose, it's never his fault when they lose, ever.

You don't realize that you if believe argument A (Lebron is great), then naturally you would believe argument B (Heat lost bc his teammates suck)

Lebron is a top 10 player of all time. He is held to a different standard than big shot Robert Horry.

Phil Jacksons first personal move is a brilliant move.

I can't believe the Mavs would make that deal.

When did free agency become prevelant?

So if you are a good player, you must stay with 1 team?

You don't have to stay with 1 team but if you just went to 4 straight finals don't you think you should play it out?

Honestly, I think Lebron is staying in Miami. I'm just saying I don't think its right for him to bounce to another team again.

Why are the Mavs doing it?

I have no clue. Chandler was awful last year. Maybe they think he will be revived in Dallas but that is a tremendously awful deal for the Mavs.

Great day to be a Knicks fan. They actually have a PG now too. If Melo goes back and doesn't sign for max dollars they could conceivably try to get Lebron there.

Why? Its his right. You don't think Magic would have went to the highest bidder?

2 starters in Dale and Jose, 2 rotation guys in Larkin and Ellington with Larkin being a nice young prospect PLUS 2 picks, PLUS you take Felton

HAHAHAHAHAHHAAHHAAH

I don't know if he did. We can only guess at that point.

But, Lebron is not going to the highest bidder. He is going to the best situation to have the best chance of winning a title. Does that make him evil? No....but I still think that after so much success with one team that you should do eveyrthing you can to make it work moving forward.
