FIFA World Cup 2014

Give that man Klinnsman a new contract.

I like the dude a lot, even if I can see where he might rub others the wrong way. I was hoping he would roundhouse that ref at the end. Only thing I'd suggest to him is surveying this land of 300 million people and finding a better defender than he who no longer need be named for the next one.

Too disappointed to talk about this game...

One thing: Julian Green is gonna let his nuts hang in Russia '18...world class

If Kasey Keller can stick around as long he did internationally, no reason Howard doesn't have one more Cup run in him (if he wants it).

The if he wants it part is key. ANd it's not like Brad Guzan is a slouch. We'll still have a great goalie next world cup.

My reflections on the game. Belgium was the better side, but the match on chances felt pretty even. Howard had a ton of saves but only a few of them actually scared me. Most of them were half chances. US left at least 3 goals on the pitch and that's not a good feeling to me. We lost the game because we were unable to stop the runs through the midfield.

I think the complaints about the US defense is overblown. Beasley was weak today, aside from being knocked over by Lukaku (didn't realize that was legal) Besler was really strong. Gonzilla was strong. Yedlin was strong.

Our worst player was Cameron, Klinsmann will be wondering if he outsmarted himself going with a bigger side rather than sticking with the central midfield trio who was so good in the group stages? Bedoya had nothing today, Zusi had nothing today. Those 2 doing nothing was killer in the full time. Wondo missed a sitter that would have put us through, he was ok but not spectacular aside from that. Dempsey didn't have much to work with.

JMO the best men on the field today were Besler, Gonzalez and Jones.

US's outlook is really good. Obviously not saying they're a threat to win next world cup, they have a bunch of guys from the current world cup who probably won't play next time, Howard (Currently 35) Dempsey (31) Wondo (31) Jones (32) Davis (32) Beckerman (32) and Beasley (32) some of them could be around, Ithink Dempsey and Howard are the most likely to play of that group and Jones being a maybe but I think he'll be shot. The bright side is the guys who still should be around and playing strong, Jozy, Johannson, Green, Mix, Bradley, Fabian, Timmy, Brooks, Besler, Gonzilla, and Yedlin. I think defensively in 4 years we'll be amazing. I think Mix and Bradley could be incredibly strong together. Green will likely be behind the striker or maybe out wide. US needs further development from Boyd, Agudelo, Bruin, McInherney, Gatt, Shea, and Corona. Also could have guys like Edu who was left off who if he gets his work in will be a candidate to basically be what Beckerman was this year.

Yeah, Green, Yedlin, and Brooks gave the US fans something to get a chubby for next round. Jozy being healthy hurt us mroe than I think is being talked about, it totally changed the way the team plays.

Freddy Adu will save us all!

We had almost nothing from midfield today until the end, and that's incredibly frustrating.

Cameron had nothing today. Jones was great, Bradley made a few mistakes but also had some killer passes that should have lead to goal scoring chances.

Really if Cameron didn't **** the bed and played his normal quality we would have looked insanely better.
