NBA Thread

Yes, and I acknowledged the competition. However, being able to make a running hook shot is a skill and the fact that Adams is showing that is a huge positive. Now he has to do it in real games. He flashed some offensive moves last year in real action as well. This year expect to see much more.

I WISH ONE OF THE BIG FREE AGENTS WOULD MAKE A DECISION SO WE CAN GET THIS SHOW ON THE ROAD

The longer this goes, the more pessimism I have concerning a Melo return to NY.

If they lure Deng in, they can make noise. Quality top 5 starters from what I read. I don't follow much though.

They will be alright if they can stay healthy. I am not a fan of Deng's at all, but they need to spend money in order to maintain the minimum salary cap figure.

McGary has been surprising actually.

A solid role player isnt too far fetched to say.

Yeah, pretty much. Along with a weak Eastern Conference.

Remember Lebron took a **** Clevaleand team to the finals when he was a pup.

Year 1: Bron the best player but Wade wasnt too far behind him. Wade was the better player vs Dallas that year, so you lose here.

Year 2: Bron CLEARLY takes over as best player on the team but Wade was still good (averaged 21 or 22 in the Finals) and of course you had Bosh and the great role players with Battier, Miller, Haslem, Chalmers, etc, etc.

Year 3: Not a great year by Wade but he played well in the Finals with basically winning them the title by his heroic performance in Game 4 getting the series back to South Beach.

Year 4: you have a point.

So 1/4 of the years you have a point.

I know I'm going to be in the minority, but I'd rather see LeBron in Miami than in Cleveland. The Cavs had him for 7 years and the best player they were able to surround him with (in 7 %&#*@$ years) was Ilgauskas. Then their crybaby owner publishes his crybaby letter as if getting a ping pong ball to bounce your way in the right year entitles you to the best player of his generation for his entire career. Maybe you should have done better than a trade for Antawn Jaminson's corpse in 7 years and you would have had a championship or two to show for it.

The Cleveland franchise doesn't deserve to have James again.

If I were LeBron I'd tell Gilbert to shove his letter up his ass ("we'll win a title before the 'king' does!" How'd that work out?). LeBron doesn't owe Cleveland anything.

Yeah, good point aces. Plus, the NBA has rigged it so the Cavs keep getting more first overall picks to offset loss of Lebron (hasn't worked)

I am curious to see Bron out of Miami though, with a team that is an actual fit though. And for him to actually play with a budding superstar or 2 and not a washed up, always injured vet, and a jump shooting 4.

I would attack your points, but you are the same guy that claimes Bosh is the MVP of the team so it's probably a waste of my time.

So E&Y is going to risk their reputation for the draft lottery? That makes a lot of sense. These NBA conspiracies are so funny.

The problem with Lebron in Cleveland was that he was too good to fast so they couldn't put a team of young talented players around him. Sure they whiffed on some picks (Luke Jackson) but other teams like that Thunder had the benefit of getting high first round picks in multiple years. James actually played a part as to why the talent around him was so poor. You don't find young budding superstars outside of the draft anymore.

Go look back on those drafts. There were not many players taken after their picks that were any good. Sure there are a couple of players but you are talking about a real crapshoot when you start picking past the top 10.

Sometimes you are in the draft in great talent years (OKC) and sometimes you get ****ty talent and that is what happened to Cleveland. They could have done a better job in free agency but a teams core is built through the draft (aside from Miami's).

Tried watching some summer league ball last night (Hou/Philly). Holy **** it's terrible, I've seen better games at the YMCA. Neither roster had anybody really worth a ****.

Nick Johnson seems ok, but a tweener. Noel is athletic but seems to be lost most of the game and will get bullied by NBA bodies.
