Phil Gosselin will join the #Braves tomorrow. A corresponding announcement will made in the morning.

..

Prays Uggla was DFA'd.

Trying to think who could be the roster move. Uggla keeps popping into my mind. Perhaps it's wishful thinking, but he could very well be DFA. Who knows?

This whole thing is odd timing, first of all, I don't think it's Uggla, because Gosselin's 40-man spot was created by Beato's outright and if it were Uggla, he could simply take his spot. My guess is there must be an injury we don't know about, Pena perhaps, but Pena didn't play today, so that would have happened yesterday. Just curious, and besides, if they were to make a move with Uggla, it wouldn't happen Sunday, it would happen after the All-Star break.

My guess...show casing him a bit for possible trades?? I dunno. Braves have never really made a similar move like this b4 a game b4 the All Star break.

Well, you make good points, but what else makes sense? Carry four second basemen?

It's got to be Uggla.

You're correct about the timing. It is odd. I could be wrong, but the only other move, at least on the big league roster that could warrant someone being sent down or DFA'ed to me would be Schafer. But, I don't think that would make a lot of sense. Just going through the possibilities in my mind, and also knowing that since La Stella has been up with Atlanta, Uggla has been very rarely used. It just gives me a gut feeling that Dan Uggla's career in Atlanta is over. Again, that is just a gut feeling and only that. I could be completely wrong (which does happen a lot, I admit). We'll find out later this morning.

There is a little bit of chatter on Twitter, I mean a little. However, it's far from being trustworthy, so I'm not going to say much more.

I root for Gosselin just like I root for all Braves prospect. But he is 25 and hitting much more than he ever has...

Yangervis Solarte.

Charles Thomas.

Just saying.

Hope Gosselin proves me wrong. But I think at best he is a good bench piece.

BTW, CHucky T helped Braves land Tim Hudson back in the day. He was Moneyball's bust, not ours.
