GDT: Atlanta Braves @ NY Mets, July 25th 2013 - Wood Rises Up To the Occasion

I know its just the third inning, but GEEZ will the Braves win another series again this year? Currently they have only won 1 series in their last 9 (I think that is correct). Frustrating.

Let's all remember how frustrating Teheran was his first few starts. Let's be a little reasonable folks. It's not like he's getting hit hard.

While I think Wood is going to be really good, this isn't a bad thing. Hopefully this shows the Braves they MUST get a SP by the trade deadline.

I agree with this. I know a lot are still satisfied even without Huddy, but our goal isnt to make the playoffs but to win it. Wren aint dumb.

3 of the batted balls in that inning including 2 hits and the ground ball that brought in a run were qualified by the adjective SOFT on gametracker. That's not even counting the ground ball infield hit...some bad luck there

I'm not watching the game (getting ready for work) but as I count it the Mets have 2 soft fly ball singles, an infield single, and I forget the other hit, but IIRC it was a grounder, and I believe only one linedrive today, that was an out. Lol

The last hit was one Heyward could only dream of zeets! Lol It was tagged.

I'm sorry to continue to slap around the offense, but these guys needed to come and give Wood some runs since he is so young. Like an earlier post mentioned it just seems like this offense is content on the 8 runs they scored last night for a few a days. That is why some of the positive offensive stats this team has put up is very skewed because they will have a strong performance followed up with several weak performances in a row. Stats will indicate they are not that bad, but on an every day basis they stink.

You've gotta be the most negative "fan" ive ever come across.

Its odd nobody has learned from Minor/Tehearn. You have to let these kids pitch.

Uggla might be coming into one of those times where he carries the team. But he's a "black hole."

This is where we need one of those smileys with the "jerk off" motion...
