I've been PM'ing back and forth with some of you. Well the time is approaching, we are now less than a week before the Hall of Fame Weekend.

The details:

No restaurant picked yet, and I'm not sure if it'll be in Albany (where most people are hoteling) or Cooperstown.

Firstly, need to confirm the amount of heads first so I can pick out a place and make reservations. So far I have 4-5 confirmed for dinner.

Please post here if you will be able to make it to the dinner and how many you'll be bringing (spouse/significant other/child), and you can PM me so we can exchange e-mails/cell phones to text as the weekend approaches.

I know some of you had planned on going but won't be able to from the other chop country thread.

Hopefully we can eat in the same restaurant as Chipper, so I can explain to him my childhood obsession and finally ask him why he never took heed to my advice on his two-handed swing. :pound:

Confirmed here. Not bringing a guest. Commuting down the NYS Thruway after breakfast on Saturday, and going through the museum.

Will keep to my suggestion for dinner at a restaurant in Albany. With most of us are lodging there, and more establishments to choose from, it just makes more sense. Nobody would want to have to drive 45 minutes back from Cooperstown in the evening.

Will be ready to prep for induction ceremony after breakfast on Sunday morning.

So far we have 4 confirmed.

Some others who've PM'd me as well. WHERE YOU AT FOLKS.

Jeff you better get some photos man. Can't wait to see your awesome weekend.

Also try and get a Chop Country group picture.

Yeah, let's try and get this settled by tomorrow or Friday at the latest. We've already discussed a good eating/drinking establishment in Albany.

DEADLINE IS TODAY. (Well not really but Knucks and I would like a full count by the end of the day to reserve by tomorrow).

goldfly, will you be having a beer with us?

Looks like we can reserve a table for 5. We're targeting 6pm in Albany. SAV & I like the option for one particular establishment in Albany. Looks like they've got something to please everybody's tastes. Respectable wine list for semi-casual kind of place too.

Oh, and guys, pack a glove. Play some catch in Cooperstown on Sunday before the induction ceremony!

Crap. Do you have a spare? I'm a righty.

It's been ages since I touched my baseball glove, it's in the garage somewhere.

I've got a catcher's mitt, too. Will pack it. According to USA Today, they're expecting 60,000 for Sunday.

Plan is to make reservations for 5 at 6pm Saturday.

Fun night so far. Got into Cooperstown slightly late. Just had a few drinks with goldfly. Lol.

Missed knucksie. I'm camping out in the field At 8am. They're expecting close to 60k fans tomorrow so I want good seats.

I hope you guys have a great time tomorrow. I had really wanted to take this trip and possibly with my parents and brother, but unfortunately life happens. I just have to live vicariously through you.

Yep, wish I coulda been there. This is one of the greatest days in this franchise's history. Five of the six played with the Braves, two of the three managed the team. I can't imagine another day at the Hall like this, for any team. For all those there, enjoy. The rest of ChopCountry nation is there with you in spirit.

There were plenty of Braves fans when we got into Cooperstown late last night.

But from everything I heard via gold fly and other braves fans, the parade was dominated by Braves fans. gold fly said they near the end of the street but you could tell if a Brave was coming because you could see the Chop forming and hear the chanting from the other side of the street.

It's raining HARD in Albany right now, but I don't think it will stop all the Braves fans from showing up.
