It's pointless because he was one of our better positional prospects and the deal will not help us get deeper into the playoffs... Pointless

Is there anyone here that seriously belives we are contenders this year. Our team puts fear in none of the other contenders with the exception of the Nats. Looking at the Cards, Dodgers, Giants and as for the AL if some how we made to the WS. You have the Angels, A's, O's, Tigers. Our roster stacked against any of those teams is pretty bad. Although anything can happen in the playoffs I just can see this roster out perform any of those teams. I was just dreaming that somehow we could pull of a Lester or Price.....sigh....

Other than the Dodgers, i dont really fear any of the other NL teams.

The AL is another story.

Craig is a great hitter, having a down year on a team-friendly contract.

Kelly has shown potential.

Braves went for the playoffs, others teams went for a championship. Not saying it's Wren's fault because the money situation has been made clear. And I have to think if he had a real chance to get one of the bigger names, he would have been able to put an equal offer without crippling the franchise.

It's just incredibly frustrating that an organization that has had a ton of success over the last 25 years is not able to go land a real impact piece that can take it to the next level.

It's embarrassing.
