I thought Bonifacio was a bit higher, but the main thing this shows is that both have been bad vs righties. I guess Bonifacio has been even better than I thought vs lefties this year given his overall numbers. Further, I'd still take Bonifacio over CJ due to his speed, not a DP machine, and much better defense.

Is there anyone here that seriously belives we are contenders this year. Our team puts fear in none of the other contenders with the exception of the Nats. Looking at the Cards, Dodgers, Giants and as for the AL if some how we made to the WS. You have the Angels, A's, O's, Tigers. Our roster stacked against any of those teams is pretty bad. Although anything can happen in the playoffs I just can see this roster out perform any of those teams. I was just dreaming that somehow we could pull of a Lester or Price.....sigh....

Go look at other teams' message boards and you find similar dumb posts as the one I quoted. A lot of fans feel their team stinks in baseball because of the nature of the game.
Just to be right, they gave up Craig and Kelly and nothing else, right?

Not sure why people are up in arms over this.
If you thought the Braves were making a big splash you were setting yourself up for failure. Wren went on record numerous times saying they were at the max budget. All of the reports said the same things. Ownership isn't shelling out anymore money. This trade helps the team marginally the remainder of the season. I am pretty sure the average person here did not know who this catcher prospect was anyway. With the bad contracts Wren handed out it's clear that ownership isn't letting him spend anymore. They learned their lesson. The team benefits right away from this trade.

It sounds like we had to give up a better prospect due to our budget being so little. The Cubs sent cash in the deal: "ESPN Chicago’s Jesse Rogers tweets that the Cubs are sending cash to Atlanta as well."
You are correct I should not have included in my list b the Giants however point still stands look at the rosters of Dodgers, Tigers, Cards, Angels, A's. Our rotation is lacking terribly compared to a lot of the serious contenders. I didn't say we have a terrible team just not a serious contender for the WS. Again anything can happen in the playoffs I do remember the Marlins beating the Yanks....

A's top 4: Lester, Samardizja, Gray, Kazmir.
Tigers top 4: Scherzer, Price, Verlander, Sanchez.
An ALCS vs those two teams would be insane.
