Sun comes up; Simmons leads off; sun goes down.

Also known as: death, taxes, and pop-ups.

The homeruns must've given Fredi confidence that Simmons could lead off.

I must say, I'm rather impressed he didn't put Constanza as leadoff. Constanza leading off would be pure Bobby. Although him sticking with Simmons is pure Bobby also.

Constanza, maybe; Simmons, absolutely not. That would be akin to Bobby running Belliard out there day after day.

Ehhh that's kind of pushing it.

Belliard had absolutely no power potential.

Simmons can be a homerun threat.

Close enough. :)

Cox has a pretty decent history with leadoff hitters.

Fredi:

Martin Prado/Jordan Schafer/Michael Bourn
Michael Bourn
Andrelton Simmons

2/3 years he stuck with trash (Schafer and Simmons) until Wren took it out of his hands (acquired Bourn and traded away Schafer). And he stuck with Bourn and Prado through terrible ends to 2011 (and the September collapse).

Is anyone concerned about the Mets? Sports Talk Radio here in NY are talking about how they are only 8 back in the loss column.

This year? Hell no

In the coming years? Absolutely, they are going to have one of the best rotations in baseball and have all of, like, 20 mil on the books for next year.

This year, nah.

If they can add some bats this winter they will be really really good in the coming years.

They have a ton of good young arms.

Harvey, Wheeler, Niese, Montero, Snydergaurd, Gee, Mejia, etc.

Can use a couple to get a bat.

Though not every pitcher pans out.

Wouldn't shock me if they shop Wheeler.

Minor can give up at most 2 runs.

Hell that might be pushing it with Waino pitching.

No pressure.
