Fredi does all the little things to lose games, I've said that for a while. I'm surprised they overcame it as much as they did last year to be honest. A great bullpen and a much better bench helped. Plus a totally different CJ than we've seen this year and Gattis was amazing off the bench himself.
 
I knew we were gonna lose when it went to extras. We can't score, and our bullpen outside of the late inning relief sucks ass.

That's how you lose 6 straight extra inning games.

Replay showed it was just a bad call and he has worked hard to improve his pitch blocking. Gattis isn't the problem despite slumping predictably after coming back a bit fast from his injury. The problem is more BJ, CJ and Fredi obviously. Wren deserves blame also though.

To sum it up, if you fix leadoff, third and manager I believe we'd be a lot better team.
 
BJ is holding the entire organization hostage. Fredi might actually be trying to force Wren's hand into biting another bullet. Too bad the pennant race will be over by then.

I usually don't call for coaches to be fired, but Greg Walker has got to go.
 
Here's what I'd do, I'd start by firing Fredi and maybe others on his staff too. I'd do it now rather than wait till our season is out of reach. Then I'd put BJ on the bench and platoon Boni in CF (always play him vs lefties and against some righties he hits well) with one of our other CF options on the 40-man roster. Also, I'd start using Boni at third some when he isn't playing CF, that improves the defense at third and takes a DP machine out of the line-up. I'd also give Gosselin some games at third as long as he's here or look for someone else to help platoon with CJ there. Though Boni could play more there vs righties depending on who we call up to help in CF.

PS: I'd love to add Peraza as soon as he's ready of course.

Ok, after a long while, I'm jumping on the bandwagon to fire Fredi. That's managerial incompetence on display - based on those quotes. And the offense still sucks hard.
 
I don't like how BJ Upton was whining about the game start time after the game. Hey, BJ, hate to break it to you, but a 7:05 start time isn't going to keep you from sucking.

Besides, I thought BJ liked to get wet.
