NBA Thread

Hey, its great that the "team leaders" just basically say Hello and Goodbye to someone who is a key role player. Nothing wrong with that at all.

You're an idiot......read the whole story......

He doesn't speak much English hence the hello and good byes and the not eating because of the cultural differences.......but yeah, facts don't matter. If Harden was still on OKC though.................................OH MAN WATCH OUT

Yeah, what a great excuse for the "team leaders" to not try harder. Hello and Goodbye work just fine. Not sure why I ever questioned you.

Guess you didn't read the part where he says they joke around together and they get along? And he's a funny guy and they have fun

You missed that part?

Funny how that works.

I'm sure that he is going to say everything that is on his mind when he knows its going to be circulated around his team and the internet. I mean, nobody has ever lied to a reporter before! You can close your eyes and cover your ears all you want. There have been plenty of reports about what type of teammates they are.

I mean for effs sake James Harden complained about not getting enough touches after winning game 1 of the 2012 NBA finals. WHAT A TEAMMATE!!!!!

Hasn't RW thrown multiple tantrums mid game and been benched for them? Pretty sure he has......please respond.....I assume you will say something stupid like......"Well that's different because you KNOW RW cares sooooooooo much and Harden OBVIOUSLY doesn't"

So your response to this is to then try and attack RW. This is why its impossible to talk to you sometimes.

Yes, RW has had blow ups in the middle of games. Most notably with Thabo where HE WAS ENCOURAGING HIM TO SHOOT MORE! RW is an extremely passionate player who goes overboard. He then collects himself and comes back as a great teammate. Kevin Durant also went out of his way during his MVP speech to defend RW against all of hte ridiculous detractors and speak about how great of a teammate he is.

I'm not attacking anyone, I'm asking how can RW be a good teammate but Harden be a bad one. YOU'RE the one that brought up THAT example, I merely compared it to another player who you says is a good teammate. Seems fair to me

Has RW complained after winning a finals game? Because that was the example I brought up.

You brought up a player complaining about shots, RW has done that and thrown tantrums mid game, yes....that has happened.

RW has complained about not getting enough shots? Seems unlikely considering he takes the most on the team.

But again, show me the time RW has ever complained to his teammates about winning a game because he didn't get his touches.

thethe is right on this.

Alot of talk this offseason is alot of the stars didnt want to go to Houston because of Dwight and Harden.

Could be hogwash but there is a good argument with this.

of course because he's a passionate player and plays with a chip on his shoulder.

Thats how he plays.

Has he complained after a win or anything like that, no?

Every player has blowups like that, hell LeBron did it Year 1 in Miami, no big deal though, right?

When and where.....show me, please. Bosh didn't go because the Heat are idiots and gave him max/max which was what.....40 mil more than Houston offered? Bron was never going there, Melo was never going there......who said they didn't want to play in Houston because of Dwight and Harden?

Rumors are floating around now that Lebron knew that Love would be coming to Cleveland if he signed. For me, all those good feeling I had towards lebron for making that decision are done. He clearly went to Cleveland to form another super team because his most recent one was breaking down.

But wait, there's this:

In 1997, Duncan couldn’t wait to fit into the low-key life of San Antonio as a willing apprentice to David Robinson, with only titles on his mind. From the beginning, Duncan foreshadowed his greatness.

Bryant foreshadowed his gall. In 1996, Bryant, a teenager exiting high school for the N.B.A., was not the first pick, but he exuded self-importance when he refused to play anywhere but Hollywood.

With the 13th selection, with a deal to trade Bryant to Los Angeles in pocket, Charlotte chose him. But there was a point where it looked as if the Lakers’ Vlade Divac would retire rather than take part in a trade that would send him to Charlotte for Bryant.

Couldn’t Bryant be a Hornet? Could he grow to love Southern sweet tea?

“That is an impossibility,” Bryant’s agent, Arn Tellem, said at the time. “There are no ifs. It would not happen. He is going to be a Laker, and that’s the only team he’s playing for.”

Bit of revisionist history by Kobe, no?

Kinda agree with this now especially if they land Marion and Allen.

So. ****ing. What.
No player like LeBron would dodge a better situation for a worse one if given the choice. Not one. If Jordan didn't feel he had a chance to win a championship and had the opportunity to move, he'd do it to.

You don't know nor do I know what JOrdan would do.

The thing that irks me is that Lebron made this whole big deal about going back home. Thats all BS. He just went home because he was going to another super team. It was all a sham.

Do I think he wanted to go home. Of course he did but he only went home because the situation was right. If Wade didn't deteriorate into a bench player Lebron would still be wearing #6.

I wonder what he would have done if Miami beat the Spurs last year. I feel like he would have stuck around one more season to try for a 4-peat, something Jordan and Kobe never achieved. The allure of doing something that rare would have kept him in Miami, IMO.
