You fukcing think the field is level by the way you posted? It's not and never will be, it will take many years, decades to be on equal footing. Only the brightest of us can compete EQUALLY and not the token QUOTA schit. You see us as inferior, even though you might not admit it. At work I am superior to all because I am the schit and my boss knows it, when I threaten to leave, first thing she says, what can I do to keep you. She said and others said I am the one that keeps the company going because I go beyond the call of duty to keep our clients happy. Even you whites won't do it, the person I replace was decent but had a nasty attitude because she thought as a female she could what she want and blew off the owner of the company and he couldn't fire her because of what she knew. He was smart by denying raises and bonuses while others got them. Only then she realize she had to move on.
What I am saying, only SUPER blacks can get anywhere while normal whites can obtain my same position just doing their job. When I was in Cedar Rapids at Rockwell, my boss ask why I work so hard, I told her to look at my skin, it pissed her off. I just said if you lay off people, the first to go is blacks. She didn't say anything and fully understood where I am coming from and did not say anything afterward because she knew how hard it is for us to work harder than our white counterparts to keep a job.
This is why I am in this thread.

i wasn't defending it or not defending the statement. i am glad the statement can be said in my society without arrest. free speech is awesome

if i wanted to get off topic, i would say, what led to those 2 things happening? it isn't like people just woke up one day and were like "you know what, **** the police" for no reason
I feel that is referencing the prying nature of the government? Patriot Act...surveillance...internet regulations...etc..
I would say my opinion of all that is much closer to yours than thethe's.
You're right when you say people dont wake up one day and out of nowhere hate the police. Just like people dont wake up one day and believe in God. You are taught...you are influenced...you grow into what you believe in.
Regardless of race...your environment shapes who you are as a person. The people who surround you have a great influence on your development. You see examples of great families..strong parents..financially stable..great neighborhood..great schools......you can develop a tremendous child who follows in those footsteps and continues the success. Or..you get the child who is disgusted by his environment for all the wrong reasons...rebels and intentionally acts out in order to be different...develops a drug habit and ends up on the street, in jail...or dead.
Or you have the child who grows up in poverty...surrounded by drugs, violence and crime. Isnt presented any positives in life...but is so disgusted by the circumstances that they persevere and build a better future for themselves and their future family.
Both circumstances are interchangeable and go either way...environment and influence are paramount.
The negative views citizens have of police in this country is going to create more violence in the future. Arguing and fighting with police on the street will do nothing but get people hurt. Citizens rights are clearly laid out..all citizens should* have their day in court to fight for justice. Citizens do not have the right to fight back on the street when an officer is acting in good faith and attempting to uphold the law. Now if that citizen gets his fair shake in court is not the officers issue.
The officer gets a second and third hand account of an incident...shows up and does his best to evaluate and resolve the issue on the spot. Like I said...if the officer is acting in good faith that his actions are justified at that moment...that is all that officer can do. It is the courts responsibility to serve justice to the people.
Im sure the response is black citizens feel the system is corrupt and will always keep the black man down...so they must fight in the injustice on the street. Thats a great way to get yourself killed......obviously. But their ignorance and misguided actions are overlooked and blame is placed on the officer who is just doing his job...
But keep rioting and acting a fool...destroy businesses and lives...who cares...just blame the police..
I don't see Blacks as inferior, I see anyone of any color inferior if they're not on my level.
How many more years until people can quit bringing up slavery as an excuse? 72% of all black babies are born out of wedlock. High drop out rates for high school blacks . Those sad statistics have nothing to do with slavery. At what time is it the persons and Thier communities fault?
What percent of the failures of our inner cities are due to : no father in the house, hip hop music/culture is over glamorized, no positive role models, it's frowned upon to be educated and to succeed, don't see the importance to act with class, etc
Those are the main culprits to what's wrong with the inner cities today. It's not slavery

Looters ran out of shops with boxes stacked in their arms up to their chins. Behind them lay overturned shelves, spilled goods and wrecked displays.
All the while, police stayed back by their armored vehicles and observed but did not intervene."
Why would they stop civilians from protecting their community and then just let rioters do what they want, seems weird to me.

I am not going to dispute what you said because for the most part it is true, BUT.......
A few of us escape what you described and we try to talk to others but until the conditions of where they live, opportunities given and find ways the government can ween them off, you cannot label us in a broad stroke of WANTING to be this way. We were behind the queue ball for a very long time until around 50 years ago, but we have 200 years to catch up and we have but only a small minority have accomplished that. But when whites have a precognition that what you describe is our being, we have to double or triple or in my stance quadruple my efforts to be seen as equal. I have no equals at work as I am the schit and they know it. When I walk the halls, go to meetings I am the one that get things done and will tell my boss to shut her mouth and know her role. If I leave they would be in very serious trouble. But they trust me with everything and even money, I know how much we take in, where the vault is, I have keys to everything. Not many blacks can be in this position but I had to prove myself and we shouldn't have to go to extremes to do so.
It is funny though when I take my white wife to a family reunion they treat her as black, same as her family who treat me as white. My father in law neighbor is black with a white wife and I swear half of their town was at his party (they were shooting fireworks which annoyed the wife when the kids were in bed) and that surprised me for a northern state that has issues with race. We have race problems but if a lily white town of 1200 can accept us blacks as equals why can't some of this board who only want to diss my race because of some bad apples, albeit a lot of them, but we need your help in turning them as well and first quit thinking we are bad and just think misunderstood, like a lot of you, especially you.

you would have got a thanks from me when you started out, but the last paragraphed torpedoed that. Should the kid be shot IF allegedly went for his gun, absolutely, but Missouri law states when there is no harm continue you subdue criminal without lethal force. Shooting a kid RUNNING AWAY from you is no harm coming to you and killin him with more than 3 shots, several in the back and one with his hands up is MURDER.
And saying he did not know of the STRONG ARM (meaning no weapons, mafio style stick up with muscle or girth) merchandise that would get you fine was not even a factor.
Seeing the KKK boards saying executing him was the right thing for 50 dollars because he scared a clerk is alarming to me. What if I just gunned all the KKK down for their ignorance, the world would be a better place.
