in getting a 20+ mil contract. I don't think any pitcher deserves 750k a start when they can't guarantee a win. That is economics. If I am going to pay you that much, I want results. It is the Libertarian way in my book.

W/L is the dumbest stat in baseball, I agree I don't think pitchers are worth it.

yes you did and he won't be worth his contract this year or any year. I want 20 wins, sub 2.50 era and 220 k's.

Still not worth a 20 mil a year contract when you only play 35 games a year.

A 20 mil a year contract is 25 wins , 2.20 or lower ERA and 250 k's.

WE did with 3 of our pitchers that would have gotten 20 mil + a year in this economy now and we didn't do squat.

I don't think he's an ace yet, but he's showing why I had so much faith in him. Tall lefty with a 90+ MPH fastball and a plus change usually are very good.
