Maddux, Glavine, and Smoltz had very little to do with us not winning in the playoffs. And none of them were overpaid.

So you'd rather have good but not elite pitching or not at least one ace and a great offense?

With runs at a premium in the postseason, you need that ace.

you are correct. Spending 1/5 of your payroll on a pitcher that gives up one or two runs and lose 3 -2, gets you where?

Nothing.

I wouldn't say nothing. You can be sure that 90% of these guys make more money for their team than they cost. Still don't like it, especially with a tight payroll, but...
 
AA, I believe we had a bet that Waino wouldn't finish in the top whatever in cy young award... You were dogging him as overrated.

If Wainright was our ace and he pitched against us and this was the deciding game and you paid him 25 mil, would you not be upset considering how our team is?

Watching/listening to Tim watch the Braves game and cheer for his teammates, heavily under the influence of pain meds, is entertaining.
 
Double play sux, but really good job by the Bravos to put Waino at over 100 pitches after 6 innings. Really a nice game by the Bravos vs Waino tonight.
