Ferguson....

So you've drawn your conclusion before the case has been finalized huh? What happened to letting the facts play out? Lol.

What is there left to see. The main eyewitness has admitted to lying. The scenario of being shot in the back was easily disproved with an autopsy. The officer was clearly physically assaulted.

What case can be made that this was excessive force at this point. The kid was a thug.

Good question. What would my reaction be if "someone showed up on your block in military vehicles would you just roll over?"

let me see....options:

Go home, turn on tv and figure out wtf is going on?
Go home and lock doors to prevent any danger?
Go fine a Quickstop and grab some snickers bars and whatever else I can grab and then set it on fire.

I've never been in the situation, but I don't think option 3 would be very high up on my list of things to do.

This is why you actually read what the **** happens. The looting has been a small part of what happened. And again by no report I've read didn't happen until the militarized police showed up and started flexing in front of the protesters. If the police held calmer heads maybe this whole riot wouldn't have happened. I could be wrong, but we know what did happen when they did.

Don't you get it: he only wanted to let "the facts" play out until or so long as he could label Mike Brown a thug.

What other facts are there now? What could possibly change the obvious story as it stands.

It's amazing to me that people still think this cop murdered this kid.

Brown was unarmed and was shot multiple times; even if all the other things you think about this case are, in fact, true, there are nonetheless other ways to subdue a single unarmed perpetrator than shooting him six times.

(Side note: I like how you phrase it as an interrogative, though your lack of proper punctuation belies that you've already decided it's not a question at all but a fact.)

Or I'm on a smartphone and I don't care to be proper.

Again...what would you call a kid who robs a convening store, bullies the shop owner and bum rushes a cop while breaking his orbital bone? A good old schoolboy?

Certainly not a very racially-charged pejorative that's often used, generally and over-zealously, to pigeon-hole black youth regardless of their individual characteristics or circumstances.

Right to property. Right to peaceably gather and a few other first amendment rights that have been trampled on.

What personal possessions were taken by police?

Nobody stopped the protesters from gathering peacefully. When the crowd got out of control, more police were called in.

The main eyewitness hasn't admitted to lying according to any major news source. If you google Dorian Johnson Recants the hit is from a conservative blog.Which is what the St. Louis radio station is reporting that Tapate linked to earlier. BBC, NBC, ABC, CNN, Fox, etc. None of them are reporting it and right now (well today) Holder is meeting with FBI agents and a Grand Jury is convening. I don't think any of that would happen if this really happened if he really recanted.

Seriously, you made up your mind when this started, just admit it, nothin that could happen aside from a video showing the cop shooting the kid in the back (hint raise your right arm, it's possible to be hit there from behind and it look like you were hit from the front) would change your mind. At least stop lying, it's really sad.

So police flexing is grounds for looting?

Not what any report I read said. Unless you call shouting at police for leaving the kid on the pavement for 5 hours as getting "out of control"

So police flexing is grounds for looting?

No but it can quite easily lead to escalation. Who are you more likely to act agressive towards, someone who's in your face acting tough or someone who's being docile. Sure nothing different may have happened, but knowing human nature, overreaction with a military force isn't gonna stop something like this.

At the very least, he's a thief, right? What would you call someone that physically assaulted a store clerk and a police officer?

Certainly not a very racially-charged pejorative that's often used, generally and over-zealously, to pigeon-hole black youth regardless of their individual characteristics or circumstances.

How many 300 pound men that punched you in the face (orbital fractures) have you tried to subdue?

Again...this kids robs a store...bullies a shop owner and physically assaults a cop. Thug is probably the best characterization of him. Good people don't do those things and I fear your ideology will preclude you from admitting that. Brown was not a good kid.

What would you call him then?

If there was a shred of evidence that showed the officer shot brown in the back I would change my stance in an instant. Where is that evidence thiugh?
