Silly Seattle

Personally I just want to litter all my **** and dump waste in any river I please. But nooooo the damn liberals said I couldn't. This isn't the America I know. Freedom? Yeah..ok.

I mean why should I have to recycle? It's super ****ing easy, yeah, but do I have to? For what? Is there even a purpose, or did we just have extra, different colored garbage cans lying around? Damn Obama. Damn liberals. Ruining my life. Recycling, what is it good for?

Global warming isn't even happening. Newt Gingrich even said it. It's a made up hoax to make the earth better. What a joke. Damn hippies. Damn liberals. The deteriorating earth is just fine the way it is.

I guarantee some damn liberal hippie MONSTER smoked too much of the reefer and thought "hey, everyone should be slightly less lazy and recycle." What a moron hippie liberal pansy. How will our earth learn to be TOUGH if we baby it? Answer me that? Liberals dammit.

I should be able to pollute as much as I please. But noooo. That's "bad for the environment." So what?

Seems like a waste of time and resources. Does Seattle use a no-sort recycling system? If not they should switch to that, it rocks just throwing all your stuff into one bin.

Yeezie,

Seems like you completely missed the point, or don't care to see it.

No one said recycling is bad. So your " yeah **** recycling" comment is just senseless babble meant to distract from the main point. Get real.

I'm all for recycling. Have a recycling bin in my garage. But allowing the trash men to go through the trash and fine people they don't think have recycled enough. Yeah...that's some dumb ****.

"Seattle Public Utilities requested the new rules after falling short of its recycling goals of 60 percent of trash by 2015, according to the Times. The recycling rate in 2013 was 56 percent."

" if food and compostable material makes up 10 percent or more of the trash."

So apparently you didn't read the little blurb you posted. It's not up to someone's discretion, as in, "eh, they didn't do it enough, I think." It's a defined number. And their recycling rate was very low. How else do you propose they make it better?

It will be a rough estimate( very rough I'm guessing) more than a defined number, unless you're really dumb enough to think that a trash collector is going to account for every piece of trash in the trash can, and then do the math to get to 10%. So it kind of is up to someone's discretion. To say otherwise is just laughable.

Simple solution.
Just ****ing recycle.
Jesus christ.

LOL. Love that republicans think democrats want "big government," but republicans don't.

Stop being lazy.

Umm... I actually never said any of that. This is a big government idea plain and simple, wether its a democrat or republican idea. I live in a city ran by mostly republicans and I see big government ideas in our county council often. So I don't think its a republican or democrat thing. Big government is a big government thing.

Damn yeezie, like I've mentioned before, you really do have a problem with making assumptions.

What is wrong with slightly urging people to recycle more? A lot of people should probably be recycling more. It's becoming more and more necessary.
Seriously, look at what you're complaining about. This isn't about expanding government power. The city just wants people to recycle more. The fines begin at $1. One ****ing dollar. Clearly this is simply trying to send a little message of "hey guys, please make a little more effort to recycle." You're complaining about being asked to use a service, that's free for you, and healthier for all. You're up in arms about that. I'd hate to see you in an actually difficult situation.

And if $1 dollar isn't enough to send the message? You ok with $2 dollars? $30? $100? At what point to you stop being ok with government telling you what you can and can't do...especially with your trash lol.

Familiar with any children's books? One of my daughters favorites is " If you give a mouse a cookie". Well if you give a mouse a cookie, he's gonna what a glass of milk. Guess what, you keep giving the government more control, they'll keep taking it.

But you seem fine with that. Lol
