Apparent Coaching Changes

Watching the Cards right now. I remember that all year, they didn't hit a lotof HR's, but just single after single after single. Then when they do hit a HR, it is a back breaker.
I think the reason they win despite not being statistically better, is not by hitting with power, but by not making outs. I think more guys that can preserve outs may be just as important as HR's... at least the Cards provdie some pretty good evidence this year..

Yep, they grind out AB's.

Beat you to death with hit after hit, then boom 3-run shot.

Cards have a team of line drive hitters which is nice. But we have a lot of those guys too. They strike out less. Tha'ts their big improvement over us.

Still doesn't explain why that cancels out pitching.

The one thing I noticed about the photo is that the dude in the middle is the only one wearing a tie. And it is hideous.

Wives weren't around to tie one for them and JC Penney wasn't open yet so they couldn't run in and buy a clip-on.

They are making some moves around the edges, but it does seem like Fredi is increasingly safe.

I'm still a little puzzled by firing the 3B coach and replacing him with Porter. Is that supposed to serve some kind of purpose, or is it just Fredi bringing a guy he used to manage in for a job?

See in the AJC confirming that Fletcher is gone as well as Dascenzo and Walker.

It was hard to tell if Dascenzo was a good 3B coach or not. We didn't have that many guys score, so it was hard for him to make a mistake on sending a guy.

Porter has managing experience, so that's a plus.

@pgammo: Braves scouting changes:Roy Clark returning, Brian Bridges promoted. Gordon Blakely in for International.

I've just noticed the second evil twin and Doug clone Snitker Dazenzo (whatever his name is...I have trouble typing still with a semi paralytic left hand so bite me) coaching 3rd base were fired.

HALLELUJAH!!!!!

Now hire someone competent please. I see better days ahead.

He may have been terrible, but it's laughable to think he was a bigger problem than some of the boneheaded decisions made during games by Fredito.

Spoke to Fredi Gonzalez this afternoon. Asked about the possibility of @RealCJ10 being @Braves hitting coach. "That line is in the water"

Its from Chris Dimino so he's not trollin unless thats a fake account idk

That would be cool. But thinking about it, Chipper was frustrated with our team the previous year and this year as it got worst and he knew there was a disconnect with the Horror Twins and our batters and the results was devastatingly bad, a drop off or epic porportions. He called out all our issues but yet I think upper management told him to pipe down on national TV about it nor help our hitters. After help giving Up Jr he has not said a peep about helping people and I don't think was allow to interact during batting practice. This screamed something.

He knows he can help the team but they have to ask him but after some things he said, I do not think Wren wanted him around, which is understandable because of him being right, but he is no longer here and we can talk to him.

Imagine him working with our hitters and a switch hitter. He, like Mad Dog can see your issue and work with you.
