College Football Thread

Worked all day and missed all of the games. I know MSU won again, but another collapse in the 4th quarter against a team they should have blown out is not going to sit well with the selection committee. I have heard all along that margin of victory isn't important, but we all know that is trash. How you look and how much you win by is going to make a difference. It's all about running up the score against weaker teams and throwing out any respect for your opponent.

You're probably right, but I would hope the selection committee would be smart enough to determine that Michigan State dominated the game. Idk if they did; didn't see the game.

But imagine if you're up 35-0 in the fourth and you pull the starters and wind up only winning 35-17. I don't think that should be marked against a team.

Unfortunately this week and last week the starters were still out there. I mean MSU has been outscored in the 4th quarter like 45-7 against the power 5 schools.

I think MSU will get in there by default with only one loss.

I was thinking one loss this whole time, but Ohio State still scares me. I am not even thinking about the playoff right now. It would be awesome to make it, but MSU football is on the map right now. That is good enough for me at the moment. I mean they are 20-2 in their last 22 games with losses @Oregon and @Notre Dame last season and I won't go into the officiating on that one.

I am just enjoying the ride at this point.

This is exactly like UT's game against UF. Bama handed the game to the Hogs and Arkansas said.. no thanks I'm not interested.
