REAL FOOTBALL Thread

5-12 is much better than 0-5. My point is more about how ****ty Atlanta's defense has been when compared to even say the Packers who don't have a rep for great defense.

Really interested to see how hte 49ers do next week. Need to get Brock back and hope that Ward is healthy. Need all the DB depth that we have against Peyton. Wish he had Aldon but the pass rush has improved over the course of the last few weeks. Willis has turf toe now so the season of injuries to top players continue.

Very encouraged to see the passing game progress a bit but its against he Rams so that doesn't even count.

Should be a great game. Niners can beat anyone if Kaep does his job.

Rams couldn't protect their quarterback last night. Davis looked really good when he had time in the pocket last night. Denver doesn't allow sacks. Peyton is going to carve the 49ers up all game. It's going to be ugly.

With the way the secondary is playing I'm not sure why you would think that. Sure, Manning will get his yards and points but it won't be this destruction that he does to other teams.

Manning will prob throw 3 TDs because that's what he does, but the Niners are capable of putting up points if they play smart football and RUN the football. Gore still looks so shifty.

The running game is much better when Anthony Davis plays. That guy needs to get on the field.

Gore is still so damn good. That guy better get into the HOF.

I was very encouraged with Kaps performance last night. He sat comfortably in the pocket, moved within it, and made accurate throws to his second and third reads. Exactly what he needs to do. 49ers just have a crazy amount of talent at the WR position now. Vernon is having issues with his hands though this year.

Rams were NFL's top pass defense before #MNF.

After @Kaepernick7 put up 343 yards...

STL ranks 9th - allowing 222.4 yards per game.

Matt Ryan, QB: +5.0

Breakdown: This is what it looks like when excellent quarterbacking is given as little support as possible. On the day, the Falcons’ receivers accounted for an unheard of seven dropped passes while both the left and right tackles had pass blocking grades lower than -3.0. When Levine Toilolo dropped his third pass just after the two-minute warning in the fourth quarter, it looked as though the Falcons were actively working against Ryan. Take away drops, throw aways, and batted passes and the Falcons’ quarterback was accurate on 26 of 32 targets on Sunday.

Signature Stat: The seven drops from Falcon receivers were a combined 99 yards downfield. That was the highest lost yardage total of any quarterback in Week 6.

Jake Matthews, LT: -6.0

Breakdown: When a -6.0 grade is a step up in performance, then it’s been a rough couple of weeks. Matthews accounted for seven pressures on the day, including two sacks, and was also flagged twice for holding. The left tackle just didn’t have the power to stand up to Jared Allen as five of his seven pressures yielded came by way of the bull rush.

Signature Stat: Matthews’ 86.0 Pass Blocking Efficiency was the lowest of any tackle this we

OUCH

Its a shame that Ryan has a horrible GM. Guy is a damn good QB but they can't put quality players around him and Julio.

Missing all these starters and Manning will feast on this defense. Culliver is awful. Bethea was getting owned by Cook last night. Imagine Julius Thomas out there. Our linebackers are completely mismatched out there and missing three all pro players will show. If we can't generate any pressure Manning will pick this team apart. You saw what Austin Davis did. They come out slow again like last night and Denver will have 35 points before we can blink.

You basically think the 49ers are going to lose and get destroyed every week. I don't see what the difference is this week.

Is that due to Randle STEALING carries?

No, but this looks as if this might be the year for at least a deep run for the Boys. Murray is no doubt the bell cow but they want him healthy for December and January. Randle can run the football and any back good enough to be in the NFL can rack up the yards behind that line. Dallas has better depth than people think.

This is the truth about the offensive line. Dalls will start drafting RB's in the 2/3/4/5 rounds and they will produce 1000 yard seasons. I would run Murray into the ground this year because you guys have a legit shot and then just start churing out productive RB's.

I think you missed the stealing joke as Randle was arrested for stealing cologne....lol.

I won't go as far to call him horrible, but his early round drafting of linemen on both sides of the ball has been horrendous. We spend 1-3rd picks on OL and DL and they are 4 years and done in the league without ever approaching league average.
