I don't want to add to the fear-mongering but...

Just thought it would be a smart idea. THe world seems to be destabilizing more and more.

Not coming to an end and never said that. I just know that a lot of people are hurting right now and even the smallest of excuses will lead them to riot and look (see Fergueson).

Also, its my personal belief that Islamic extremism has penetrated our borders. There are probably hundreds if not thousands of Islamic Fundamentalists who are US citizens.

You can mock me all you want. This is what I believe and I will be ready if something catastrophic happens. Those of you that live in the backwoods don't have to worry about anything. NY will probably be the area that is hit hte hardest.

Is having some bottled water, a few canned goods, flashlights, a gun or two really something to mock? I don't think it's a bad idea to have emergency provisions lying around, even if you think of fears of the threat du jour are overblown.

Of course its the smart thing to do. The hope is that you'll never have to use those things. Anyone with half a brain would do the same.

Eh, I'd rather train myself in archery and survival tactics than having water, guns, and canned food. Someone can take your stuff, they can't steal your skills.

No, everyone should have this stuff. The mocking is due to the thought that the world is ending and thethe will be holed up in his house jerking off to Stephan Adams highlight reels.

I love how teethe has mocked me for tin foil hat in the past, but now thinks we're all going to die from muslims and ebola.

I've never said we were going to die. I believe there are a lot of factors that exist currently that can quickly destabilize the way we are accustomed to living our life. I don't believe these things will be permanent but for a short period of time I want olio be prepared for the worst.

Thethe, I think the biggest threat to us living in America is the rise of liberalism and all that entails: weaker foreign policy, not closing the borders, spending money we don't have, keeping low income people down, dividing the country by race, more government programs, etc.

That's what I'm worried about. And that **** is happening here and now.

"I haven't watched news extensively for 6 months, never been happier. You eventually realise that the day-to-day **** that they report has no bearing on your life at all. "

This was posted by a user on reddit that I saw this morning. Replace 6 months with a couple years and it's exactly what I've been saying for a couple years now. News isn't news anymore, it's edited stories, done to draw as many viewers as possible.

And mostly fear-mongering.
