In high school, I had an episode of "sleep paralysis" (look it up) and had a very real classic alien head look over my covers and into my face. It was terrifying. So yes, I believe in aliens and feel like something is going on that we don't quite understand. I too though don't understand how they can travel such far distances. Maybe we're looking in the wrong direction. Maybe they're traveling between dimensions or universes, rather than across hundreds of light years. Whatever. They're real.

Lol how is it naive? The nearest galaxy is literally thousands of yrs away by the speed of light. Not to mention they would pretty much have to randomly stumble upon Earth out of the trillions upon trillions of planets in the universe.

Just because humans do not understand interstellar travel does not mean that other lifeforms in the universe haven't figured it out.

I don't believe that everyone has started at time 0 and its a race to see how fast we can get out to space.

Even if there are advanced life forms that have the ability or desire to leave their planet and have been around since the beginning of the big bang, the chances of them finding us are still minute. What would be the point of traveling to our neighborhood, anyway? We've only been putting out radio waves and **** for a short period of time. If they found us, it was by accident/dumb ****ing luck.

Now, while I know that the intelligence of alien lifeforms could and can be out of our comprehension, that ambiguity is not enough to settle an argument. It's like saying we can't comprehend God, thus...

Again, it's possible, but I doubt it.

I'm not trying to settle any arguments. I'm just stating my opinion.

I would not begin to try to understand the motives of a hypothetical life form that is far more advanced than we are. There could be a myriad of reasons as to why an advanced being would visit or there could be none at all and they have never been here.

Whose to say that they would enslave us? Just because our history dictates this pattern doesn't mean its a universal truth. We are just unevolved mentally IMO.
 
Maybe they will enslave us maybe they won't, but you know what?

There's not a damn thing we could do about it if they wanted to enslave us.

i don't believe in aliens or anything but if they did exist I Wouldn't want to know. The only person who matters is the one on top of the food chain and if aliens did exist they'd be on top and we wouldn't.
 
If aliens came here mankind would be to busy fighting over religions claiming them. Scientology would win.
